For a fun and safe Halloween, please be aware of ANYTHING that appears out of place or suspicious. Do not hesitate to call 911. I ask you report all speeding and suspicious people to the police! I am working with the Police department to get the police out here to help control speeding during Halloween.
The City of Sunnyvale is currently conducting a survey of homeowners to determine their preference for the various design choices the City is considering for the traffic calming circle at Elizabeth Way and Norman Dr.

Many people have expressed concern about the current size and lack of aesthetics associated with the temporary circle. The design for a permanent circle will address these concerns while reducing the litter and number of shopping carts that collect in the temporary circle today.
If you have opinions you want the city to consider, complete the survey that was mailed to you by the city, or contact:

At the board meeting, held extraordinarily on Friday evening, the President, First Vice President, Treasurer, and several members of the board were present to discuss several topics.
The first topic was to consider whether the RPNA should register with the City of Sunnyvale. A benefit of registration is that a certain amount of RPNA expenses can be subsidized by the City. Some concern was expressed that historically the RPNA was entirely self-financed and independent. However, after some discussion, the board decided to present to the general assembly a motion for it to vote on.
We reviewed the treasurer’s report.
We then discussed a proposal to solicit input from the Ray-Nor Park neighborhood about what things the association should be doing. As an incentive for response we agreed to offer free membership for 2008 and 2009.
There was some discussion to move the board meeting from Thursdays to some other day, but the board unanimously agreed that the current date would remain.
Although our June picnic seemed ‘lightly attended’, attendees enjoyed the usual array of picnic fare along with bingo and guessing games. Thanks to Kostadis Roussos for obtaining the meats, to Irene Castro for picking out the prizes, to Adam Snyder for preparing the grill site, to Howard and Linda Huver for cooking the main entrees, and to everyone who brought or donated side dishes, beverages, ice, coolers, tubs, charcoal, etc. The raffled mailbox ( a yellow and light brown dog) went home with Martha Hernandez, Sunnyvale, a guest of Irene and Henry Castro
